A Dreamy Senior Session at The Holmstead Studio in Knoxville
Emily reached out about doing her high school senior photos, and after looking through her Pinterest board, I immediately had the perfect location in mind. The Holmstead Studio is run by Ashley and Tom, and they’ve transformed their property into an absolute photographer’s dream.
From the sweetest little greenhouse and open grassy areas to a swing, a clothesline filled with lace fabrics, and so many charming corners throughout the property, there is so much variety without ever having to leave the space. It was the perfect fit for Emily’s senior photos and gave us that soft, feminine, relaxed feel she was looking for.
Emily also brought two outfits, which I absolutely love for high school senior sessions. She started in a gorgeous maxi dress and then changed into a more traditional white dress for some of her cap-and-gown photos. Having two looks gave us even more variety while still keeping the whole gallery cohesive.
I love photographing at The Holmstead Studio because it works beautifully for so many different kinds of sessions — seniors, couples, maternity, branding, and more. It has so much personality while still feeling simple and timeless, and I keep coming back to it again and again.
